FRIENDS...How Many Of Us Have Them?

Episode Summary

In this episode, we discuss the power and importance of nurturing meaningful relationships.

Episode Notes

Are you a good friend? If your friends were to rank you on the friendship scale, where would they place you? Meaningful friendships require attention to detail and must be nurtured. If you have very few friends or keep losing friends, this is an opportunity for you to self-reflect. Maybe the reason you don’t have friends is that you are not a good friend yourself.

With the crisis of mental health, healthy relationships are the antidote to problems such as anxiety and depression. Healthy friendships are those that you push each other to grow. If you don’t know how to build new friendships, you can start by stepping out of your comfort zone. Then be curious about other people. This way, they will open up and tell you exciting things about them.

In some instances, you may have to cut off some friends. If the friendship is no longer serving you, you are supposed to outgrow it. You are supposed to meet new people and create new friendships at every season of your life while maintaining those old ones that are still meaningful.

Now more than ever, it is important to reach out to your friends. Even if we cant meet up over dinner due to the pandemic, you can hop on a zoom. Take the opportunity and reach out. Nurture friendships, rekindle old ones, and build new ones.
