Holding a grudge is a common way people respond when they feel they have been wronged. 

Sometimes, the other party doesn’t even know that they wronged us! 

And yet, we might hold a grudge so deeply that it affects our emotional and mental well-being. No matter what precipitated it, it is not healthy to hold a grudge.

While everybody is susceptible to holding a grudge, some personality types are more prone to it. They might be doing it as a coping mechanism, or maybe they haven’t developed effective strategies for dealing with conflict.
