When To QUIT And When To REST

Episode Summary

In this episode we discuss burnout. How to prevent it and when should you quit versus rest. We talk about trigger points that lead to burnout and finding an outlet to recharge.

Episode Notes

After the mother’s day craziness that we talked about in the last episode, I feel like I have been struggling and wanted to take some time off. The feeling of being burnt out is a common feeling that many of us go through, especially mothers.

Relationships, jobs, business, parenting are all things that can stress us out. You take a break, maybe go on vacation, you come back feeling rejuvenated and refreshed but after a while you start getting the same burnout feeling again. Understanding your trigger points is crucial. In my case, aborting my routine is one of my trigger points. Having excessive business and excessive ideas is another one of my trigger points.

Finding an outlet to recharge is important. Otherwise, you’ll get overworked and soon suffer burnout and lose motivation to work. Understanding what makes you happy and conversely what steals your joy and depletes your energy is key to avoiding burnout. However, you should never quit just because you are tired.
